Implementation System Engineer

What are we looking for?

The primary mission of the Customer Systems Integration Engineer at MDClone is to drive exceptional customer outcomes as a key member of the Customer Success team. This role encompasses installation, upgrades, and technical support for the MDClone Platform, ensuring it operates at peak performance. 

Key responsibilities include providing Level 2 support to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, maximizing customer satisfaction. Expertise in Linux systems and managing large-scale data environments is essential, with a focus on maintaining high availability, security, and optimal performance. 

A deep understanding of the infrastructure and application requirements for large-scale healthcare big-data queries is also required. Ideally, the candidate will bring expertise in big data platforms, such as Cloudera, and contribute insights on system utilization, technology enhancements, and the architectural and networking strategies that align with MDClone’s long-term goals and customer needs.

This role’s everyday responsibilities include:

Support of MDClone customer success teams Facilitate smooth and timely implementations and upgrades at customers’ sites and provide ongoing support/maintenance.

Collaborate with customers to understand their business and system architecture to ensure a high level of familiarity with the platform and how to support it best

Lead cloud and on-premises architecture reviews to support the MDClone implementation

Collaborate with MDClone’s customer success, product, and development teams on the infrastructure, architecture, support design, and implementation of infrastructure for the MDClone platform

Academic and professional qualifications:

Excellent communication and presentation skills: ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams.

Minimum 3 years experience in setting up / administration of Linux (RedHat, CentOS) servers. Having Red Hat System Admin (RHCSA) and Cloudera (CCA) certifications is a plus.

Experience with cloud platforms: familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure)

Virtualization expertise using VMWare 

Experience in setting up or administration of network infrastructure (Azure NSG, AWS Security Groups, firewall/VPN, routers, WAN/LAN/MAN connectivity)

Experience with database installation and basic configuration (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis).

Strong service orientation 

Must be able to work effectively with team members to provide support as both an independent operator and team player

Collaboration with R&D, Systems, QA, and other stakeholders

 Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly adapt to new technologies and new processes

Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential.

Travel Requirements: Ability to travel occasionally as warranted by project work and location; frequency will vary depending on project requirements.

Experience with Cloudera or other big data technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Hive, Impala is a plus. 

Experience should include installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. - An Advantage.

Experience with containerization technologies, Dockers, k8s, Rancher, OpenShift - An Advantage.
